The newly extended freight port in Igoumenitsa is the gateway to Italy and Europe and transports goods and tourists from as far as Turkey and the black sea.
The new Motorway A2 (EGNATIA) commences from Igoumenitsa and connects the two largest Cities of Athens and Thessaloniki.
